According to their website: "The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) is here to protect your interests, and to offer an alternative perspective on how to best solve the problems seniors face today. We need you. America needs you." Some describe AMAC.us as an AARP alternative. Regular readers of this eclectic series know that the left-leaning AARP was slammed recently as acting as "shills" for UnitedHealthCare by left-leaning The American Prospect (TAP). In red states like Florida and Texas, but also in blue states like CA, IL, NY, WA or beyond, AARP members (see AMAC memo that follows) responded to thousands of calls to action on behalf of the interests of the 50+ and other Americans who are more centrist or conservative in their outlook.

Who We Are
AMAC Action represents Americans over age 50 to advance policies that empower them to live longer, keep more of their hard-earned money, retire with dignity, and build a stronger America for future generations. We provide a vehicle for AMAC members to engage in grassroots advocacy to preserve our great American values of faith, family, and freedom.

What We Do
AMAC Action serves to support and defend the United States Constitution, freedom, liberty, and the free market. AMAC Action and its volunteer advocates work to advance AMAC members’ influence in Washington, DC, in Congressional Districts, and state legislatures while serving as a valued resource for the membership, Congress, state leaders, and mature Americans throughout the nation. AMAC Action enables conservative Americans aged 50+ to become politically engaged and active in their community.

On Our Radar – AMAC ACTION, January 2025
AMAC Action achieved incredible milestones in 2024—milestones made possible by the unwavering support of you, our Delegates, and our AMAC Members. Your dedication has strengthened our mission to defend conservative values, safeguard constitutional liberties, and fight for a brighter future for America.
2024 By the Numbers: What We Achieved Together
- 135 Call-to-Action Campaigns: Mobilized members to address key issues—protecting elections from noncitizen voting, opposing ranked-choice voting, supporting parental rights, and combating radical ideologies.
- 80,000+ Messages Sent: AMAC members contacted their elected officials to make their voices heard.
- 400,000-Strong AMAC Army: Our community of active members continues to grow. • 170+ Congressional Meetings: Engaging directly with lawmakers to influence policy.
- Election Integrity Efforts: 2,588 members stepped up as poll observers and election workers in key states.
- 18 Lawsuits: AMAC or AMAC Action were involved in legal battles defending Americans’ constitutional liberties.
Critical Victories of 2024
Your support made these key wins possible:
- Election Integrity: Wisconsin voters amended the state constitution to ban private election funding (“Zuckerbucks”).
- Protecting Women’s Sports: Ohio passed legislation barring boys from competing in girls’ sports.
- Parental Rights and Education: New York’s governor backed down from a planned state takeover of public schools after pressure from AMAC members.
- Defending Female-Only Spaces: Louisiana enacted laws protecting women’s spaces.
- Gun Rights: Maine defeated a left-wing gun control bill.
- Multi-State Successes: Seven states banned ranked-choice voting, seven states banned noncitizen voting, and Florida defeated a radical abortion-on-demand amendment.
- National Recognition: House Speaker Mike Johnson personally thanked AMAC members for supporting the SAVE Act, a vital election integrity measure.
Looking Ahead: The Fight Continues in 2025
As we transition from a defense position to offense, our energy and enthusiasm needs to continue. The stakes are higher than ever, and we are in a position to accomplish great things!
With a new Congress and presidential administration, AMAC Action will continue to fight for:
- Extending President Trump’s 2017 Tax Cuts: Ensuring economic growth and relief for Americans.
- Securing the Border: Strengthening America’s national security.
- Protecting Election Integrity: Passing legislation to prevent illegal aliens from voting in U.S. elections.

At a recent AMAC Action event, one member was overheard speaking to others, saying he was 'ready to go on offense' after years of playing defense against the problematic policies of the Biden-Harris (D) years.
That said, the organization makes outreaches and efforts with both major parties, per official sources.
For those who have felt 'burned' by years supporting AARP and its often apparently left-leaning policies, AMAC is worthy of a good look. In my personal experience, amazing people, good benefits, and while they officially say 50 plus people who are younger are apparently welcomed too.
AMAC teamed up last summer with Charlie Kirk led Turning Point USA for a big meeting. As the memo above indicates, they believe they played a role in the election integrity efforts for the 2024 election.
Tired of big, out of control government programs? Of ineffective advocacy groups that may not truly represent your interests? IMHO, give AMAC a look.
