• See which South Ga. schools scored $5k for football upgrades (walb.com) — Cook High School in Adel has already scored $5,000 from T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights competition to upgrade its football facilities. The program is funneling money into small-town Georgia stadiums, and more schools can still apply through September 18, with public voting set for October and November. It's a chance for Adel's Friday night pride to translate into lasting field improvements.
