• Pumpkin Crop Low Following Hot Summer (specialtycropgrower.com) — Pumpkin yields at Jaemor Farms in Alto are down this fall after more than a month of extreme summer heat, though the pumpkins that did grow are excellent quality. Owner Drew Echols says the heat hurt production across Georgia and even up the East Coast, which means strong demand and a tighter pumpkin supply for local buyers.
