• Pickup truck crash claims life of White County woman (nowgeorgia.com) — A Cleveland-area crash on Helen Highway claimed the life of 65-year-old Deborah Holland of Sautee Nacoochee after her pickup left State Route 75, went airborne and overturned down an embankment. White County crews used ropes to rescue both occupants, and her passenger suffered only minor injuries. Both were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
   

• UPDATE: Human Remains on Mt Yonah Identified (wrwh.com) — Authorities in Cleveland say they believe they’ve identified the man and woman whose remains were found on Mt. Yonah last week, though names won’t be released until dental records confirm it. Investigators think the couple were on the mountain for weeks and may have intended not to return. The case remains active, with autopsy results still pending.
