YSL Defendant In Stable Condition After Fulton Jail Stabbing: Sheriff
The inmate accused of stabbing Shannon Stillwell at the Fulton County Jail is facing charges, authorities said.
ATLANTA — Shannon Stillwell, one of multiple co-defendants in the Young Slime Life gang trial against mainstream rapper Young Thug, is in stable condition after being stabbed Sunday at the Fulton County Jail, authorities said Monday afternoon.
The Fulton County Sheriff's Office confirmed the stabbing to Patch early Monday morning.
Authorities said a fight broke out between Willie Brown and Stillwell, who is also known as Shannon Jackson, at the Rice Street facility. Authorities said Brown stabbed Stillwell multiple times during the fight.

The two men were housed in the same zone, authorities said. Details leading to the fight are unknown.
Brown was charged on suspicion of aggravated assault and possession of prohibited items in connection with the stabbing, authorities said. East Point Police initially arrested Brown on July 22, 2020, for several charges, and he was being held without bond, authorities said.

Stillwell is one of the 28 defendants who were arrested in March 2022 on racketeering and gang charges as Fulton County prosecutors maintain Jeffery "Young Thug" Williams led a suspected gang called Young Slime Life. Since then, a number of defendants have accepted plea deals.
The defendants are accused of violating the state's Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

After more than a year, the trial against Williams and a handful of others started on Nov. 27 with Fulton County Chief Superior Court Judge Ural Glanville at the helm.
In court proceedings, attorneys for Stillwell say he is being charged on suspicion of two counts of murder.
Fulton County Jail records show Stillwell is also facing numerous gun-related charges among others.

“I’m obviously very concerned about my client and I’m gathering information at this time,” Max Schardt, Stillwell's attorney, told CNN.
Glanville halted Monday's court proceedings after noting a medical issue with one of the participants had arisen, the outlet reported. It is unclear if trial will continue Tuesday.
