The district, which has had to cancel school for two inclement weather days, stated those two cancellations are less than the four days the state permits before requiring time be made up.
Additionally, unless a significant inclement weather incident impacts the district prior to spring break, that break also will not be affected since it has other options available if make-up time be required.

“The superintendent respects the challenges that the cancellation of school breaks, especially with short notice, creates for students, parents and employees,” the system said in a news release. “As the superintendent remains focused on continuous improvement for teaching and learning, he today is directing appropriate CCSD staff to research viable options for potential online learning and other alternatives to allow students to make up instructional time lost due to inclement weather.”
The system closed up shop on Feb. 10 as well as Jan. 22 due to inclement winter weather.
