Weather Update: How Much Snow Will Fall on Canton, and When?

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 10 a.m. Thursday.

The Canton area is preparing for a significant accumulation of snowfall this evening and overnight.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

  • Wednesday: Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 4pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 38. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Wednesday Night: Snow, mainly before 1am. The snow could be heavy at times. Patchy fog. Low around 30. East wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Thursday: A 10 percent chance of snow before 7am. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
