• Clayton man arrested on rape, assault charges in Rabun County (fox5atlanta.com) — A 39-year-old Clayton resident has been arrested in Rabun County on multiple serious charges, including rape and aggravated assault, after deputies responded to a disturbance call Monday. Investigators say the case remains active, with limited details released to protect the victim's privacy, and it will be turned over to the Mountain Judicial Circuit District Attorney once evidence gathering is complete.
