Columbus Restaurant Inspections: 9 Perfect Scores, 7 B Grades This Week (Sept. 30 to Oct. 6) (columbustimes.com) — Health inspectors just rated 25 Columbus restaurants and school cafeterias from Sept. 30 to Oct. 6, with 18 earning A's and nine of those scoring a perfect 100. Several popular spots, including Pho Sai Gon and Waffle House on Veterans Parkway, received B's after on-the-spot fixes, and residents can check any Muscogee County restaurant's score online.

Georgia Trust Wants Nominations for Its 2027 Preservation Awards (columbustimes.com) — If you know a Columbus building that's been thoughtfully restored or repurposed, the Georgia Trust is now taking nominations for its 2027 Preservation Awards through Dec. 7. Columbus has a strong track record with the Trust, and Historic Columbus can help residents and property owners prepare nominations that showcase local homes, mills, landmarks or preservation champions.
