West Georgia Wolverines vs. the Houston County Sharks for the Varsity Title at 3 PM!

The final tip-off! The West Georgia Wolverines will take on the Houston County Sharks for the Varsity Wheelchair Basketball State Title this Saturday, March 14^th at 3:00 pm at the Macon Centreplex.

The American Association of AdaptED Sports Programs (AAASP) and the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) will host the 2026 AAASP/GHSA Dr. Ralph Swearngin State Wheelchair Basketball Championship Varsity Game Saturday as part of the state championship slate that day.The Wheelchair Basketball Championship will feature the last two teams rolling – the West Georgia Wolverines vs. the Houston County Sharks– from across the state, as the American Association of AdaptED Sports Programs celebrates its 30^th season of adaptED sports in Georgia.This year’s Championship and second place trophies will be presented by Dr. Tim Scott; and banners will be presented by AAASP Executive Director Dr. Jenny Millward.

AAASP teams from the following school districts, in a dual governing alliance with GHSA, participated in wheelchair basketball this year.In the varsity division, they were:the Clayton Eagles, the Gwinnett Heat, the Houston County Sharks, the Peach County Rolling Trojans,and the West Georgia Wolverines.Click here to view the AAASP #wheelchairbasketball schedule standings that led up to the finals.
