According to the 2016 Global Recruiting Trends Report, 43% of respondents said that social professional networks were the top source of quality hires for them over the last 12 months. Internet job boards came in as a very close second, with employee referrals as number three, and not too far behind. What does this tell us? If it wasn’t officially confirmed before, it is now: Social is the most relied upon source of quality candidates. If you’re not including social into your recruiting strategy, you’re behind the curve. If you are, you can assume your competition is too. Either way, now is the time to learn, evolve, and use social for what it was intended to do – connect.
