Paulding Meth Raid Nets 30 Kilos Of Drug
Authorities acted on what turned out to be a meth lab in Dallas after seven kilograms of methamphetamine was found during a traffic stop.

DALLAS, GA — A multi-agency methamphetamine raid late Wednesday night in Paulding County led to one arrest and the confiscation of more than 30 kilograms of the drug.
At 10 p.m., a search warrant was executed at a home on Cottonwood Loop in Dallas, said Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Nelly Miles.
Agents from the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, the GBI, Paulding County SWAT and the Haralson-Paulding Drug Task Force were involved in the raid.

Agents were seen removing coolers, buckets and other equipment. On Thursday morning, a clean-up crew was scouring the residence, leaving red signs telling area residents to stay out.
According to Miles, the raid was spurred by a traffic stop earlier Wednesday evening. During that stop, seven kilograms of methamphetamine were discovered in the vehicle.

"Based on that, there was enough probable cause to execute a search warrant on the home," Miles said.
The remaining 23 kilograms of meth was discovered during the search. Evidence discovered during the raid indicated that the home was being used as a meth conversion lab, Miles said.
Authorities were not releasing the name of the person arrested Thursday afternoon. Miles said the case remains active and under investigation.
