Caught on Trail Cam: Second Home Burglar Arrested

Public help leads to arrests of burglar caught in the act by a trail camera installed outside the Paulding County home.

Paulding County authorities have arrested and charged the second suspect in the Thanksgiving-week home burglary that was captured on a trail camera the homeowner installed outside.

The sheriff’s office said Mark Owens, 43, was arrested March 26 in connection with the Legion Lake Road burglary.

Images of Owens and another suspect, Christopher Johnson, 38, were both caught by the trail camera and the images were distributed to the media by the sheriff’s office in early December. Johnson was arrested in January.

“We want to thank everyone that assisted in this particular case. It is with the assistance of the citizens that we are able to do our job better,” the sherrif’s office posted on Facebook. “Thank You!”
