Christmas Tree Lighting in Olde Town Hiram on Friday

Please join the community for the Christmas Tree Lighting on Friday, December 4th from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. The Christmas Tree will be lit at 8:00pm.

The event this year is being hosted by the Olde Town Hiram Business Association.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT THE EVENT THIS YEAR WILL BE DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOUS YEARS. This is mainly due to the Sewer and Main Street Improvement projects. These projects are on-going and Main Street in Hiram is a construction area - so the roads are rough and uneven. PLEASE park as close to the downtown area as possible so that we can minimize pedestrian walking along Main Street.

The parking areas that we are encouraging you to use are: the large parking lot in the back of the Shoppes of Olde Town Hiram (on Church Street), City Hall Parking lot - Front and Back, Post Office parking lot and any other parking lots that are closest to the Downtown area.

PLEASE NOTE that Main Street will be closed from Highway 92 to the Church Street intersection (corner of City Hall) and Beatty Street will be closed (the road in front of the downtown shops) where the Christmas Tree is located. No other streets will be closed so vehicles are cautioned to be VERY careful and observant of pedestrians when driving through this area.

Unlike previous years - MAIN STREET WILL NOT BE CLOSED. SO PLEASE BE SAFE IF YOU CHOOSE TO WALK ALONG MAIN STREET TO THE EVENT AREA IN DOWNTOWN. NO SHUTTLES OR BUSES WILL BE AVAILABLE.

The Hiram Police Department will be available to direct and assist - please look for an Officer if you have any questions.

Activities for the event include:
Santa Claus will arrive about 6:30PM and will be available to talk to the kids and take pictures in Santa’s Workshop located in the corner coffee house.

Christmas Music/Live Entertainment at the Christmas Tree location. Groups will be performing throughout the evening.

Christmas Crafters and vendors will be located in the Main Street Antique Building across Main Street from the Olive Tree Restaurant.

Kids Activities will be in the Parking Area in front of the Main Street Antique Building.

All of our Downtown businesses will be open and there will be lots of great food.

Again, we want everyone to join us bringing in the Christmas Season - Please be observant and understand that parking and pedestrian traffic is different from past years - SO... be cautious, stay safe and enjoy the event.
