'Cops For Kids' Christmas Shopping Program Registration Nearing
The program lets children ages 8-13 from needy families shop for Christmas gifts with a Paulding County sheriff's deputy.

DALLAS, GA — It's not even Halloween yet, but the sheriff's office in Paulding County already is getting in the Christmas spirit, preparing for its annual Cops For Kids shopping event.
Now in its 19th year, the event takes underprivileged children who live in Paulding County and pairs each of them with a deputy to go shopping for Christmas.
This year's event will take place Saturday, December 9, at 7 a.m. at the Walmart on Marietta Highway.
