Dallas Christmas Parade on Saturday

The 23rd annual Invitational Christmas Parade ushers in the holiday season Saturday afternoon. Details here.

The 23rd annual Invitational Christmas Parade will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday in downtown Dallas.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Paulding County, this year’s parade theme is “Be a Gift to the World!” Themes are expected to promote “the Holiness of Christ’s birth.”

The parade starts at Dallas Elementary and ends at Courthouse Square.

Awards will include:

• Dallas Mayor’s Choice • Hiram Mayor’s Choice • Best High School Jr ROTC • Best High School Marching Band • Best Religious Entry: First, Second & Third Place • Best Theme Award for Individual or Organization: First, Second & Third Place • Best Theme Award for Business or Corporate Entry: First, Second & Third Place • Most Outstanding Horse and Rider: First, Second & Third Place • Most Outstanding Antique Vehicle (over 20 years old): First, Second & Third Place • Most Outstanding 4-Wheel Drive Truck • Biggest Heart Award (collecting the most non-perishable food items for Helping Hands, INC) • Rotarian’s Choice
