  1. Dallas resident Ray Kevin Harrell, 56, was arrested by the Georgia State Patrol last week. Harrell faces charges of no insurance, failure to maintain lane, and driving under the influence. The arrest was reported by the Polk County Jail for the period between Nov. 18-22. (Northwest Georgia News)
  2. The Hiram City Council will hold a work session on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 6:00 p.m. The work session is open to the public, and the agenda of topics up for discussion can be found here. The next regular session meeting will be held on Dec. 6 at 6:00 p.m.; no agenda for this meeting is available yet. (City of Hiram GA)
  3. The Dallas City Council will hold a work session at 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 5. Directly following the work session, which is open to the public, the regular session meeting will begin at 5:15 p.m. No agendas were posted for either meeting as of Sunday evening. (City of Dallas GA)
  4. Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene quoted a tweet from California state Sen. Scott Wiener on Twitter and referred to him as a "communist groomer." In response, Sen. Wiener posted the term "groomer" is "super homophobic/transphobic." He finished, writing, "If you call someone groomer, you're inciting violence against LGBTQ people." (CW33 Dallas)
