Hiram Shooting Suspect At Large In Killing Of Rome Woman
The woman was shot to death Saturday in a Nebo Ridge Estates mobile home, authorities said Wednesday.
HIRAM, GA — An 18-year-old Rome woman was shot to death Saturday in a Nebo Ridge Estates mobile home and the suspect, a 19-year-old Dallas man, is at large, authorities said Wednesday.
Paulding County deputies responded around 9 a.m. to the 60 block of Barbee Path, where Katherine Maline Castillo-Martinez was found with gunshot wounds inside of the mobile home.
Castillo-Martinez was taken to a local hospital, where she died, authorities said.

The fatal shooting was the result of a dispute between multiple people at the mobile home, authorities said.
Warrants were secured to charge Devon Michael Gandy, 19, on suspicion of murder in connection with the shooting, authorities said.

The United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Warrants/Civil Division are searching for Gandy, authorities said.
"It must be noted that Gandy does have an identical twin brother that was not involved in this incident," authorities said in a news release issued Wednesday. "Gandy is considered to be armed and dangerous by authorities and should not be confronted. As this investigation unfolds, more suspects and charges are likely to be developed."
