Sewer - Laborer

Reports to Sewer Foreman & Public Works Manager

Essential Functions: Operate and maintain the City Sewer System. Unstop blockages, replace and repair pipe and/or manholes & wet wells. Sewer inspections report and respond to sewer spills & maintain inventory.

Other Duties: Preventative maintenance through Sewer Jetter. Camera Sewerlines and follow up with problem areas.

Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Experience: Knowledge of Sewer Maintenance

Licenses: Valid Ga Driver’s License; CDL Class B Skills

Required: Ability to work as part of a team. Follow written & verbal directions, recordkeeping. Ability to work in confined spaces.

Physical Demands: Operate and maintain equipment not limited to sewer pressure jetter machine, CCTV inspection camera, jackhammer, cut off saws, ect. Lifting, crouching, bending, and working in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 100lbs. On call 24-7, able to respond in 30 min.

Work Enviroment: Exposure to the heat, cold, water, dust, dirt & mud, as well as working in and around sewers. A.D.A: All of the essential job functions require the ability to climb, pull, carry & lift objects as well as driving.
