Dispute Between Brothers Leads to Shooting Death in Hiram

A domestic-related shooting resulted in the death of a Hiram man and the arrest of his brother, police said Monday night.

Hiram Police responded around 7:30 p.m. Monday to 465 Watts Road in Hiram where they found Joseph Norman Duguay, 46, dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

His brother, Ronald Duguay Jr., 51, was in custody in connection to the incident, police said in a news release. He was apprehended as he attempted to flee the scene, police said.

Details of what led to the shooting were not immediately known. Hiram PD investigators are working with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

This is an ongoing investigation and additional information will be released once the crime scene has been processed, police said.
