DOT Work Scheduled For One More Day on State Route 120

State workers are deep-patching deteriorating asphalt spots on the highway.

DALLAS, GA — Paulding County motorists have at least one more day to negotiate Department of Transportation crews doing patching work on State Route 120.

Crews, which began work earlier this week, are scheduled to wrap up after working Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

They are working on repairing and deep patching deteriorating asphalt spots on the highway.

The schedule is based on weather permitting, and is subject to change, the DOT said in a news release.

"Deep patching which will be used in this maintenance operation is one of the methods Georgia DOT uses to repair deteriorated, settled, cracking and dislodged pavement," the news release said. "The technique is much less expensive than other methods."
