Drive By Shooting Seriously Injures Woman, 2 Arrests Made

A woman remains in the hospital with serious injuries while police say they have arrested the two shooters.

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — A woman remains in the hospital with serious injuries while the Paulding County Sheriff's Office say they have arrested the two men responsible firing shots into her home April 11.

Kathleen Walker, 52, suffered gunshot wounds to her lower extremities after multiple shots were fired at her home at 519 Dallas Road, Dallas, by two men who were firing at her home from the roadway.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday that after weeks of rigorous detective work, two arrests have been made in the case.

Zackariah Daniel Mitchell, 18, was arrested April 20 and Kayden Louis Fillingame, 19, was arrested May 2.

Mitchel was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana less than one ounce, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of Schedule V Promethazine Hydrochloride.

Fillingame was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.

Both Mitchell and Fillingame are being held in the Paulding County Jail with no bond.

Detectives encourage anyone who may have any additional information, or who may have seen the suspects or the suspect vehicle at the time of the shooting, to call the Criminal Investigations Division of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office at 770-443-3015.
