Expanded Bill Carruth Parkway to Open Tuesday
The four-lane widening covered about three miles of the parkway, which loops around Hiram.

HIRAM, GA — A newly four-laned Bill Carruth Parkway will open to the public on Tuesday.
The $12 million widening of the loop around Hiram has been underway since the spring.
The project consisted of just under three miles of grading, drainage, base and paving of the parkway, from the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge to State Route 92.

It also included a new bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad line.
The project was funded by Paulding County special-purpose, local option sales tax funds.

The Paulding County board of commissioners will hold a road dedication ceremony Tuesday at 11 a.m. in front of Pirate Printing, at 41 Millhouse Rd.
The parkway will be opened to motorists after the ceremony.
