Former EPHS Player Named College Sporting News Player of Week

Current Jacksonville State, and former East Paulding Raider Folo Johnson was named the National Defensive Player of the Week by College Sporting News on Monday evening.
Johnson had a career-high 14 tackles, including 12 solo stops, to lead the third-ranked Gamecocks to their eighth-straight win of the season with a 20-6 road win at No. 15 Eastern Kentucky last Saturday.

The Dallas, Ga., native helped a defensive unit limit Eastern Kentucky to just 100 rushing yards and hold the Colonels to 1-for-14 on 3rd down.
The JSU defense has now gone 13-straight quarters without allowing a touchdown and outscored its opponents 125-9 over its last three games.
