Friends Raising Funds For Paulding EMS Worker
Carey Wright has heart issues and fell, fracturing his spine, according to his GoFundMe campaign.

DALLAS, GA — Carey Wright has spent his 30-year career helping care for others. Now, friends are looking for some help to take care of Wright.
The Paulding County paramedic started having heart troubles in April that caused him to pass out, fracturing his spine in three places, according to a GoFundMe campaign started by friend Bryan Pavon.
Pavon wrote that Wright had a pacemaker installed that has worked well, but that the healing process from the spinal fracture has been a slow one.

"As of now, the expenses have been overwhelming and with not being able to work, it has placed a tremendous amount of financial stress on him," Pavon wrote. "Carey is not married nor does he have any parents, siblings, or kids to help him. We, as his friends, are asking our community to help our friend in any way you can."
The campaign had raised a little over $4,000 of its $10,000 goal Monday afternoon.

In an update last week, Pavon said that Wright, who isn't on Facebook and doesn't even own a home computer, wanted to thank everyone who has helped so far.
