Funeral Announcements: Oct. 6

Joyce Floyd: The 78-year-old Dallas resident, formerly of Cobb County, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011. Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 7, at 3 p.m. at Bellamy Chapel Hiram. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday, Oct. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin Edwin Locklear: March 27, 1941 - Oct. 4, 2011. Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Parish officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens, with Doug Swift, Randy Akins, Roddy Austin, Kim Curl, Timmy Johnson and David Locklear serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Sikorski, James Owenby, Dwayne Crider and Ronald Locklear.

Jimmy Earl Scott: Feb. 27, 1945 - Oct. 4, 2011. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home, with Dr. Curtis Turner officiating. The ashes will be interred in Paulding Memorial Gardens following the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. until the service time.

Earnest "Runt" Cohran: April 8, 1929 - Oct. 4, 2011. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home, the the Rev. Marty Hulsey will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Couch, Josh McAdams, John Caylor, Douglas Couch, Phillip Newman, Daniel Thornton, Evan Cohran, Casey Cohran and Marshall Everest. Interment will follow at Smyrna United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
