Melba Ruth Parson: Dec. 28, 1948 - Sept. 24, 2011. Funeral services for the Dallas resident will be held Monday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. at Benson Funeral Home. Shad Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemtery. Visitation was Sunday, Sept. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m.; visitation also will be held Monday until time of service.

Helen Shelnut: Nov. 11, 1935 - Sept. 24, 2011. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 2:45 p.m. CDT from Croft Acton Cemetery, with the Rev. Wade Acton officiating. The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home, Hiram, from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT on Monday, Sept. 26, and also Tuesday at the graveside from 1 to 2:30 p.m. CDT.

Tayven Lawrence Whaley: Sept. 5 - Sept. 25, 2011. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., from Clark Funeral Home, with William James Cook officiating. Interment will follow at the Rocky Ford Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 PM.

Lester Clark: Sept. 6, 1926 - Sept. 24, 2011. Funeral services for Mr. Lester Andrew “LA” Clark will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pray’s Mill Baptist Church Cemetery.
