Georgia United Credit Union Invites Local Schools to Apply to Win a School Crashers Makeover

Georgia United Credit Union is excited to announce the 4th annual School Crashers program.

Accredited public or private elementary, middle and high schools in Georgia are encouraged to apply for a School Crashers makeover that will be funded by Georgia United and involve school and community volunteers. Nominations will be accepted Wednesday, March 15 through Saturday, April 15, 2017.

Interested parties should complete the online nomination form located at gucu.org/schoolcrashers including a compelling story why your school deserves a makeover. Applicants are encouraged to include one photo that illustrates the area selected for improvement. Project requests for structural, plumbing or electrical enhancements will not be considered. The top winner will be announced on May 16, 2017.

Last year’s winning school was Oakcliff Elementary in Doraville. Oakcliff’s heartfelt entry from a current student was chosen from among hundreds of nominations from schools across the state. Five additional runner-up schools also received school improvement mini-makeovers in 2016.
