Here are the top five stories in Dallas-Hiram today:

  1. Charlie Moore was denied his bond this week. The Paulding County driver, accused of causing a high-speed chase and killing a 12-year-old passenger, was denied bail this week. The family of 12-year-old Leden Boykins, who Moore is accused of killing, was in the courtroom asking for the judge to grant that bond. This is the third time a judge has denied bond for Moore.   2. Exciting upcoming events at the Dallas and Hiram libraries. At the Dallas Public Library and the Hiram – Maude P. Ragsdale Public Library this week, stop in for some fun reading and science activities. Babytime and storytime feature fun narratives for children, while the 3D Pen Program through STEAM shows teens how to work and create with 3D pens. (West Georgia Regional Library System)
  3. There's still time to sign up for the Cars for K-9's Car Show and Community Event. With food trucks, a car show, entertainment, and local vendors, it's fun for the whole family.   5. Be on the lookout for a juvenile runaway from Hiram. Paris Kimble is a 16-year-old black female. She left her home in Hiram, GA during the early morning hours of Friday, June 3, 2022, and it is unknown where she is or who she is with.
