Hiram Tree Lighting Is Friday Evening
Entertainment, games, food, contests and craft vendors all will be a part of the downtown Hiram celebration.

HIRAM, GA — It's time to get in the Christmas spirit in Paulding County.
Hiram's annual Christmas Tree Lighting festivities are set to start at 6 p.m. on Friday. The streets of Olde Town Hiram will be lit up and there will be music and dance performances, an appearance by Santa, food trucks and kids' activities including a bungee trampoline, mini-train, horse and carriage rides and a rock wall.
Organizers also are promising "snow" for the event, as well as contests, giveaways an gift-shopping opportunities. Pictures with Santa will be available, courtesy of G and E Studios, and there will be Ugly Sweater and Ugly Socks competitions.

Free activities will include a petting zoo, game truck, ornament-making and games. Food vendors also will be on hand. The tree lighting is scheduled for 8 p.m.
There will be a shuttle bus to the lighting. Parking is available at Hiram Elementary School, at 200 Seaboard Ave., Holy Cross Lutheran Church, at 76 Seaboard St., and the field nexzt to Autohouse U.S., on Railroad Street. Disability parking will be at the U.S. Post Office at 225 Main St.
