Man On The Run From Paulding Authorities Extradited From Jamaica
The man has been wanted in Paulding County for 11 years on suspicion of child molestation and sexual battery, authorities said.
PAULDING COUNTY, GA — A man authorities said has been on the run for 11 years was deported from Kingston, Jamaica, to Paulding County Friday, according to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office Monday.
Charles Manord Rainey, 71, was wanted in Paulding and was accused of child molestation, according to the sheriff's office.
A warrant was issued in December 2011, charging Rainey on suspicion of aggravated child molestation, child molestation and sexual battery in Paulding, according to the sheriff's office.

Rainey was taken into custody Nov. 15 by security forces working with the Jamaican government and the Jamaica Constabulary Force, authorities said.
He was interviewed at the Barnett Police Station in Montego Bay, Jamaica, during which authorities said he admitted to overstaying his visa that had been issued in 2011 for six months.

Rainey is being held in the Paulding County Jail without bond, authorities said.
"The U.S. Marshals Service is the primary federal agency responsible for tracking and extraditing fugitives who are apprehended in foreign countries and wanted for prosecution in the United States. The agency has four foreign field offices in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Colombia and Mexico," according to the sheriff's office in a news release.
"With no jurisdiction outside of the United States, the USMS is constantly networking to establish and improve relationships with foreign governments to enhance its ability to apprehend fugitives seeking refuge in foreign countries."
