Missing Paulding Man, 79, Found in Tennessee

Preston Perren had been missing since Wednesday.

Update from the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office:

Preston Perren, whom a Mattie’s Call was issued for late last night, has been located in Crossville, Tennessee. Perren was safe and is in the process of being reunited with his family.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Mattie’s Call Thursday night for a Paulding County man, 79, who has been missing since Wednesday.

Preston Perren’s last known contact with his family was Aug. 13 at around 11 a.m., according to a news release. Perren seemed “disoriented and confused” when he spoke with family members and may have dementia.

He was traveling westbound on Interstate 20 between Villa Rica and Birmingham, the sheriff’s office said.

He was driving a 2007 blue extended-cab Ford Ranger pickup truck, with the Georgia tag PD2 HFX.

Perren has balding gray hair, stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs 260 pounds. There is no clothing description.

Anyone who comes in contact with Perren is urged to call the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 770-443-3015.
