If you're planning to head to the coast for the long weekend, there's another weather situation worth at least keeping an eye on.

A low pressure area in the Atlantic, currently between Bermuda and the Bahamas, threatens to become the first major storm of the 2016 hurricane season, which officially begins Wednesday.

And it has coastal Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina in its path.

The National Hurricane Center says there's a 90 percent chance that disturbance could become a tropical storm in the next two days.
