'National Night Out' in Hiram is Tuesday
Free food, police and fire vehicles and safety tips are all part of the event at Ben Hill Strickland Park.

HIRAM, GA — Tuesday is "National Night Out" in Hiram.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and aims to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
Hosted by the Hiram Police Department and Paulding County Sheriff's Office, the local event will be from 6-8:30 p.m. in Ben Hill Strickland Park, at 372 Oak St.

Represented at the event will be both of those law-enforcement offices, the Georgia State Patrol, Paulding County E-911 and the Paulding County Fire Department.
There will be fire vehicles, the county's SWAT truck, patrol cars, K-9 units and a child fingerprinting station.

Traffic units will be providing child seat safety instructions and other safety tips.
The grills will be fired up and food will be free.
