Paulding County 4th Of July Fireworks: 2018 Guide

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — Prime of Paulding Red White & Boom Fireworks & Expo will be held June 30 as a prelude to the 2018 IndepenDance at the Pole Barn, Saturday July 7 at Taylor Farm Park Pole Barn.

On Wednesday, a 40 percent chance for rain kicks in at about 9 a.m. and lasts all day. Wednesday night's low is expected to be around 73 under partly cloudy skies. We'll have that same 40 percent chance after dark, so keep an eye on the latest forecasts. Thursday, though, that chance will jump up to 50 percent, the National Weather Service says.

Independence Day: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9 a.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 m.p.h. Wednesday night, a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Thursday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms again Thursday night. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Friday night, a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72.

2018 IndepenDance at the Pole Barn

This free event will be held Saturday, July 7 at Taylor Farm Park at the Pole Barn from 5 to 7 p.m. - Festivities, include children's games and activities, line dancing, hula hula contest and celebrity look a like contest. Various other vendors will be available. Alcohol is prohibited.

5 p.m. - Children's games and activities
5:45 p.m. - Line Dancing for kids and adults
6 p.m. - Hula Hoop Contest
6:15 p.m. - Celebrity Look A-like Contest
7 p.m. - Concert featuring Dallas Martin Band
Dark - Fireworks

The following vendors will be there: The Glow Zone, Happy Hawg, Kona Ice of North Georgia, Mountain Kettle Corn, Sparkles Family Fun Center, Uplifting Rentals, Yogli Mogli of Hiram.
