Paulding Murder Cold Case Clues Could Earn You Big Reward

Crime Stoppers has a $14,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this Paulding cold case murder.

PAULDING COUNTY, GA — The Paulding County Sheriff's Office made a post on their Facebook page Friday asking for any clues in a cold case murder from 20015.

"Regan Wheeler was murdered in his driveway on Oct. 13, 2005 after he presumably interrupted a burglary when he arrived home," reads the post. "Earlier this week, the Atlanta Journal Constitution wrote a story about this murder. Crime Stoppers @crimestoppersatl has a $14,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. Please help us find this killer by sharing this story."

“I saw him lying beside the truck. I went over to him,” Paula Wheeler, the victim's husband, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “He was gone. It just seemed like such a nightmare. I just kept thinking, ‘this isn’t happening.’”

Paula Wheeler and her daughter ran to a neighbor’s house for help, believing her husband had suffered a medical emergency, according to The Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Wheelers' home had been burglarized and shell casings were found near the body.
