Paulding Sheriff Victim of School Silly-Stringing

The honor went to kids at Abney Elementary for hitting a big goal.

DALLAS, GA — It's usually not a good idea to take aim at the sheriff. But some W.C. Abney Elementary students got away with it on Friday, and for a good reason.

Sheriff Gary Gulledge made himself a willing target to be "silly-stringed" as a reward for students who reached their fundraising goal for the school's PTA.

In a video posted by the sheriff's office, Gulledge playfully resists before being covered in wave after wave of multi-colored silly string by the students.

We're not sure how long it took the sheriff to get cleaned up after this. But apparently there were not hard feelings and no students will be ticketed for their roles in the silly assault.

"The kids had a blast and so did the Sheriff," the sheriff's office said in the Facebook post.
