- Paulding County School District has moved all of its Friday night football games to Thursday due to Hurricane Ian. Starting Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m., all of Georgia is in a State of Emergency due to the potential of flooding, downed trees, powerlines and debris. (WSB TV)
- Police have released the address of where a 17-year-old gunshot victim was found dead on Saturday, Sep. 24. Police found the victim with a gunshot wound to the chest at a home in the Southern Oaks Subdivision located at 197 Southern Oaks Drive in Dallas. The suspect, 17-year-old Nathanial Kennedy, is being held in Paulding County jail without bond. The victim's identity had not been released as of Tuesday evening. (WSB TV)
- A Public Hearing is set for Thursday, Sep. 29, at the Hiram Town Office. The hearing, starting at 7:15 p.m., is to adopt the new 2022-2023 General Assistance Appendices A through G of the existing GA Ordinance. The public can review the appendices ahead of the meeting – or after – by visiting the Town Office during normal business hours. (Sacopee Valley News)
- An 18-year-old from Dallas, Sasha Hurtado, performed Bishop Briggs' "River" on The Voice during blind auditions. Two judges, John Legend and Camila Cabello, turned their chairs to signal they wanted Sasha on their team. Sasha chose Team Camila in the end. (Southern Minn)
