Police: Chicken World 'Carjacking' Was Just Teens Fooling Around
Hiram officers released the teens to their parents after a talking-to.

HIRAM, GA — Hiram Police took to social media this weekend to downplay an incident at the local Chicken World restaurant.
"Just to clear the air before any of the cellphone videos are posted," officers wrote on Facebook.
On Saturday, officers responded to Chicken World, at 4109 Jimmy Lee Smith Pkwy., in reference to a carjacking report.

What they discovered when they arrived: "It was teens goofing around, which in turn raised concerns from bystanders who felt the vehicle was being carjacked and called 911."
After an investigation, the teens were released to their parent and "cautioned on their actions," Hiram Police said.

No one was injured in the incident.
