Police Continue Investigation Into Death of Grandmother, 75
Douglasville Police ask if you have any info that can help find Florene Duke's killer to please step forward.

Douglasville Police are asking for your help in finding who is responsible for the Monday death of a beloved grandmother.
Florene Duke, 75, was found tied up in her Selman Road residence around 6 p.m. Monday after family members checked up on her.

No additional information was released about the incident, and no suspects have been identified, but investigators have been working the scene and canvassing the neighborhood surrounding the Countryside Manor apartment complex trying to sort out what happened.

“We want to jump on this fast and hard, and bring somebody to justice for this,” Douglasville PD Chief Chris Womack told the AJC Monday.
The AJC reported there were no signs of trauma to her body and no evidence of forced entry into her residence. Some items were reported missing from the home. The body has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
