An animal shelter in Dallas, Ga., shared on Facebook the tale of Bonnie (check that, Raven) the dog who was lost, adopted, believed to be dead, then found and reunited with its family months later.
“We love happy endings here at Paulding County Animal Control,” the shelter posted.

The agency said the dog first came to the shelter as a scared and confused stray in February. The shelter named her Bonnie, who was quickly adopted.

But the adoption didn’t work out and Bonnie was returned to the shelter just last week, the agency said.
“Well, soon after coming back, we received an email claiming Bonnie was their dog,” the Facebook post said.
It seems Bonnie — actually Raven — belonged to a Henry County family, which had lost their home in a fire and needed someone to watch over their two dogs as they searched for a new home.
They left the dogs with relatives in Paulding County, and soon afterward the family was called and informed Raven had passed away. A month later, the other dog, named Miss Boots, had apparently gotten loose and couldn’t be found.
While monitoring Petfinder.com to find Miss Boots, the family found Raven was at the Paulding shelter.

“And needless to say, there were tears flowing everywhere,” when the family picked up Raven, the shelter posted
The shelter said Miss Boots is still missing. She was lost in the Southern Trace area near Rockmart.
