Reported Threat At North Paulding High Determined Not Credible

A report of a student making a bomb threat at North Paulding High School turned out to be not credible Wednesdayl.

In a letter to parents posted on the school’s website, and shared on Facebook by the sheriff’s office and school district, principal Mark Crowe wrote school administration was informed a student “threatened to bring a bomb to school [Wednesday],” but “We discovered that the threat was not as initially reported, and no threat was made against others or North Paulding High School.“
Crowe said in the letter that an investigation by the school and Paulding County Sheriff’s Office determined no threat had actually been made.

“During this time, we were in constant communication with our local central office staff and the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office to make sure your children and our staff were safe,” the principal wrote.
No other details were released about what led to the incident.
