Silver Comet Trail Attack Victim Released from Hospital

Tina Waddell was brutally beaten by an unknown assailant on July 29.

The victim of a savage attack on the Silver Comet Trail in Paulding County has been released from the hospital, WSB-TV reports.

Tina Waddell was assaulted by an unknown man on July 29 while jogging on the trail in the vicinity of the bridge at Academy Drive/Vernot Aiken Road. She was dragged into the woods by the attacker and “severely beaten about the head and face and that she was going in and out of consciousness during the attack,” said the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

Waddell was only able to describe her attacker as a man with dark hair. No suspects or leads have been uncovered by police since the assault took place.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office has established a reward for any information that will lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of Tina Waddell’s attacker.
