From the Office of U.S. Rep Tom Graves

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Tom Graves (R-GA-14) issued the following statement after voting for an amendment to a short-term funding bill that will allow President Obama to pursue the portion of his strategy to fight the Islamic State that involves training and equipping Syrian opposition fighters:

“It’s clear that the Islamic State is a threat to the United States and must be destroyed. While I am not convinced the president’s plan is sufficient, it is a first step. As we review the president’s progress in the coming months, I believe all resources and assets should be on the table in order to eliminate the threat and defend the American people.”
