Donaldson was crossing the highway close to the bridge near Seaboard when the accident happened."The Deputy was en route to a low priority call and was traveling at normal speeds according to witnesses," PCSO Cpl. Ashley Henson said in a news release. "The Deputy did not have his emergency equipment activated at the time of the accident."Donaldson died later at Wellstar Paulding Hospital.The accident is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team.
