DALLAS, GA — Columbus Day is an odd holiday, in that some of your usual holiday closings happen, and some don't.  Here's a brief rundown of what's open, and what's not, in Paulding County.  Government offices It's a federal holiday, so federal, state and local government offices will be closed.  Schools Paulding County Public Schools are open Monday.  Libraries  West Georgia Regional Library branches, including those in Paulding County, will be closed Monday for staff training.   Post offices   There will be no mail delivery Monday and post office branches will be closed.  Banks Most banks will be closed for Columbus Day, though you may find some exceptions.
