• Man Found Dead After Douglas Standoff (valdostatoday.com) — A 21-year-old Douglas man died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after a standoff in a car outside the Dollar General on East Baker Highway in Coffee County. State agents are investigating and stress that no deputies fired their weapons. Anyone in Douglas with information is urged to contact the local GBI office or submit an anonymous tip.
