• Trial begins for man charged in 2021 Douglas homicide (walb.com) — A murder trial is starting today in Douglas, where a man is charged in connection with a 2021 killing at Georgian Woods Apartments. Authorities say the victim, Joshua Brown, was found dead there in July 2021, and the defendant faces felony murder and firearm charges. Court proceedings are now moving forward after a lengthy investigation.
