• Family Of 5 Killed In Apparent Murder-Suicide ID'ed In GA (patch.com) — Douglas police have identified five family members who died in an apparent murder-suicide at a Robin Lane home on Oct. 9, including the suspected shooter. Officers found four adults dead at the scene and a fifth who later died at Coffee Regional Medical Center, and investigators say they are not seeking additional suspects. 
• Century-old park in Douglas reopens after Hurricane Helene damage (walb.com) — Wheeler Park in Douglas is officially reopening today, giving residents back a beloved green space rebuilt after Hurricane Helene’s severe damage. The century-old park now features a new pavilion, refreshed tree canopy, and updated playground, all restored through volunteer efforts and nonprofit partnerships to again host community events in the heart of the city.
