The crimes were reported in the area of Lee Road and Highway 92, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

Levy Brown and Michael Teal and two juveniles were charged with the crime spree, including four burglaries, multiple entering autos, weapons charges, gang charges, RICO (Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations), Motor Vehicle theft, Theft by Receiving, and alcohol violations, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Three of the suspects are alleged gang members.

“While interviewing the individuals we had in custody, we learned that three out of the four individuals were either self- proclaimed street gang members or already documented street gang members,” DCSO public information officer Lt. Glenn Daniel said in the release. “This was further confirmed by articles of clothing the individuals were in possession of or seen wearing in video surveillance. One of the individuals acting had the gang’s name tattooed on him.”

Brown and Teal are being held without bond in the Douglas County Jail; the two juveniles were sent to a regional Youth Detention Center in metro Atlanta.

Daniel said investigators were able to identify the suspects using video surveillance.

Brown and Teal were arrested on July 7 immediately after a burglary on Soaring Drive, where three males were seen breaking in. The two were found during a search of the area; Teal was caught after deputies say he dropped a gun while running away.

The two men were identified as being involved in the series of crimes during the July 4th weekend.

While searching for the third suspect, deputies met with a 15-year-old male, who was found with stolen items from the holiday weekend crimes. Daniel said the teen was identified on video surveillance from a burglary at 2471 Fairburn Road, and that he had a gun during that burglary.

A 16-year-old male was arrested later on July 7 after a search of a residence on Sunflower Drive in Douglasville, where deputies found several stolen items linked to the holiday weekend crimes.
