Reward For Info In Killing Of 2 Douglas County Teens Doubles To $40K

The teens were shot to death Saturday while attending a Sitka Drive house party.

DOUGLASVILLE, GA — A $20,000 reward initially offered in connection with the shooting deaths of two teens at a Saturday night house party has increased to $40,000, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.

The shooting took place around 10:45 p.m. near Sitka Drive, authorities said.

The reward is available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the shooting suspect and was made available through the Douglas County Board of Commissioners and the sheriff's office's asset forfeiture fund, authorities said.

AJ’anaye "AJ" Hill, 14, and Samuel Moon, 15, died in the shooting Saturday while seven other youths were injured, authorities previously said.

Moon was a 10th grader at Lithia Springs High School, and Hill was a ninth grader at Douglas County High. GoFundMe accounts have been set up both for Hill and for Moon.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the party's attendees. More than 80 witnesses were taken to the sheriff's office, but authorities said a large group of people left before deputies arrived.
