Madame Sundburg says many of her students have gone on to successfully integrate French in their careers. French, she says is an international language that is also fun to learn. “French is one of the fastest-growing languages in the world, due to population growth in Africa. It is truly a global language. By learning a global language, my students learn a valuable skill that sets them apart and makes them a global citizen, ready for the 21st-century workplace,” Madame Sunduerg says.
Winning this honor, Madam Sundburg says is especially meaningful because of her passion for the language. “I love French because it's not just one culture or one person. There is never an end to studying French,” Madame Sundburg explains. “There are so many Francophone countries, one could spend their life studying and never be finished. To speak another language is to have another way to make a friend and that is what French brings me.”
